OK, I don’t have some secret obsession with the hockey mom from Wasilla, but I do have a fascination with ignorance and the Governor of Alaska insists on proving hers daily.

Her latest, in  a series of interviews had her talking there with that liberal mainstream media dude, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

Anyone familiar with this blog, has read my posts on various bulletin boards or followed my tweets at twitter.com knows my biggest pet-peeves of the Presidential Campaign were the insinuations that Barack Obama “pals around with terrorists”.

After pointing out that Senators and Presidential Candidates undergo a background and security check by various government agencies, and stating the obvious that McCain had served with this person his campaign was calling a terrorist, one would think they would wake up to this absurdity.

Nope.

Ms. Contradiction herself told Blitzer,  she was “still concerned” about Obama’s ties to former Weather Underground member-turned-Chicago college professor William Ayers.

“If anybody still wants to talk about it, I will,” she said. “Because this is an unrepentant domestic terrorist who had campaigned to blow up, to destroy our Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol.

Nobody wants to talk about it Governor Palin! (OK, I’m talking about it, but only to point out her ignorance and contradictions).

So once again, I ask the obvious question.  If she is concerned, why is she on TV giving interviews instead of forcing authorities to arrest this “associate of terrorists”?  Why didn’t she and her former running mate, John McCain prevent Obama from getting classified, top secret intelligence briefings as part of his transition?

You are concerned Governor Palin?  Seriously?

“It would be my honor to assist and support our new president and the new administration.”

WHAT?

It would be your honor to assist someone you just said you were still concerned about because he “associated with terrorists”?

Do you hear the words that come out of your mouth Governor Palin?  What justification would you have of “assisting” the President “if asked for assistance” if you still think he has terrorist ties?  Wouldn’t your assistance make you someone tied to this “terrorist” if only through some small degree of separation?

You can’t salivate at a shot at the national stage if asked by Obama in one breath and then stick Ayers in your pocket for revival in 2012 the next. The Ayers tactic didn’t work Governor Palin.

OK, enough obsessing.  I’ll let this go, maybe she will as well.

Finally, I realize that the pitbull in lipstick loves the limelight and the attention.  I just think she would be better suited for a role in a reality show than national politics.

What would be a good title?

America’s Next Top Conservative?  Or,  The Political Apprentice?
