Doesn’t Add Up

He supposedly pals around with terrorists.  An unreleased videotape allegedly shows him toasting a former PLO operative.  Rumors abound that he is a Muslim and not really born in Hawaii. A lady read he was Arab.  A rally goer shouts out terrorist.  Joe The Plumber suggests he is a socialist.

John McCain says the American voters should know about these things.

What no one is saying is the obvious.  Barack Obama is a U.S. Senator.  He is a major party nominee for the Office of President of the United States of America!  To believe there is any substance to the aforementioned claims one would have to admit some serious flaws in the United States’ intelligence agencies and our government.

Both William Ayers and Rashid Khalidi, the so-called associates of Barack Obama that the McCain/Palin campaign have called terrorists are college professors at U.S. universities.

If voters would think past the five second soundbites they would see the absurdity of these claims.  Let’s look what these charges would actually mean if true.

The United States has two terrorists, one domestic and one foreign teaching in our higher learning institutions.  By default, the students who learn under these professors are being trained in terroristic philosophies.

Let’s take the logic a step further.  Government officials (Obama and McCain and others) have association either directly or indirectly with these individuals meaning that U.S. Senators are associated with terrorists, and in the case of McCain who is identifying them as such is doing so knowingly.

Further, to become a U.S. Senator and a Presidential Candidate one must undergo background checks from the FBI.

As Presidential Candidates and as members of the Senate, both Obama and McCain have been privy to national security information and have even met with U.S. Military to discuss war strategies.  They have been briefed by the President of the United States and therefore have information not privy to normal citizens.

So, not only would the FBI (and most likely CIA and Secret Service) have to overlook these terrorist connections, but everyone would have to ignore terrorist training terrorists within our universities.  We would have to admit the cooperation or negligence of our government and military, including George W. Bush in compromising national security information.

Instead of thinking that we are overrun with Terrorist infiltrating our government, alluding detection by thye FBI and CIA and being handed top secret info from our very own President, we should all pause and think these allegations through.

Once we do, we can see it is a ploy.  A political tactic to prey on the fear of some voters, to disgrace the memories of those lives lost by terrorists and to smear the name of innocent Americans.
